I have been working at Gen 2 Carbon for the past 7 years and it has been the most interesting and challenging job I have had. Since I joined, the business has evolved a great deal and I have seen many changes. A key element of my role is developing new products which I find very enjoyable and varied. The company and management team has always fully supported my personal development and continues to do so.

Gen 2 Carbon is a company like no other. I enjoy my role and have done since day one. I am proud of who we are and excited about what we will become. I am grateful for the opportunities presented to me, and the encouragement and support from within the organisation to grasp those opportunities. Prior to joining Gen 2 Carbon, I left a company after 22 years of employment to begin a new challenge and I have no regrets. In my role, I enjoy interacting with our customers, finding solutions to their problems and delivering a first-class service.

I’ve had the pleasure of working with Gen 2 Carbon Ltd. since 2017 in academic and professional capacities. I believe the company’s mission in reducing environmental impact of carbon fibre, through the manufacture of new products for renewed applications, is critical in terms of sustainability. Since joining a small but specialised team at Coseley, I was quickly able to establish a good rapport with every member of staff, do something I enjoy, and progress my career professionally and personally. The composite recycling industry is relatively new and there is plenty of scope for  innovation that leads to the development of new materials.
