Gen 2 Carbon’s recycled carbon fibre materials meet the need for lightweighting in automotive applications in a cost-effective and environmentally responsible way. In applications such as closures, body panels and interior panels, our G-TEX M and G-TEX TM materials provide weight savings that are comparable to those that can be achieved with virgin carbon fibre products, at a fraction of the cost and environmental impact.

The styling freedom afforded by these materials, combined with lower tooling costs, makes our products well suited for low-medium volume production vehicles. G-TEX technology can be used with almost all composite processing methods, including prepreg, resin film and liquid resin compression moulding processes. The materials are suitable for both painted parts and for components that use the unique visual appearance of recycled carbon fibre as part of their styling.

Applications already in production include bonnets, roofs, tailgates and interior and exterior panels.
